Church Launch: Image Church, Las Vegas

Pastor Ryan Ivy and his wife, Kierstin moved from Alabama to Las Vegas to plant a church. “We were convinced that God was calling us out of the South where we are from and to something more. Then we were burdened by the community that we are in because there are over 60,000 people that live right here without a single evangelical church to go to,” says Ryan.

On Sunday, January 30th, Image Church in Las Vegas had their grand opening!

“Planting has been extremely slow and incredibly tough. We moved our launch day more times than I can remember, lost some of the people closest to us, and had our plans wrecked over and over again, but God always had a plan in all of it. I was also incredibly lucky to have an incredible team around me. Walk church and Pastor Heiden have invested so much into me over the last three years and I am incredibly grateful. Hope church and the whole team there as well as Josh Carter have helped me in tremendous ways throughout this whole process.”

Here are the ways God has answered their prayer in the last couple of years:

“We have seen God answer many prayers in many different ways. One of the biggest is that he has been building his church and we are now getting to see the fruit of years of prayer for the Mountains edge community. We pray specifically for team members that Love Jesus and have a passion for the same things we do, and God blessed us with an incredible associate pastor, creative director, and worship leader, but even more they are great friends. We have been praying for God to save people and we got to see that even just this past Sunday with a guy that had never been to church making Jesus his savior.”

Ryan hopes to see even more people make professions of faith in response to hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Please continue to pray for Pastor Ryan at Image Church as they boldly proclaim the Gospel and for God to do more than they could even hope or imagine in 2022.
